Like the Southern Sierra Map, this shows National Parks, Forests and Wilderness areas and is easy to see where they all are in relation to each other. Very colorful and detailed. Perfect for backcountry planning. Good pricing.

This is the BEST overview map of the Central Sierra that I’m lucky to own! It’s compact, waterproof, has all the trailheads and basic info in a clear and easy to read layout. I don’t remember how I first heard about Calico Maps, but I’m glad I did. I own a ton of maps, some of which are redundant, but this Central Sierra Map now resides in my car so I have it along and also won’t forget to add to my backpack at times).
I bought Calico’s Southern Sierra Trail Map when it came out in 2021 and it’s equally good. I didn’t have another map with an overview of that part of the Sierra, so I was super happy when it arrived and I saw the quality and what it offers!
The Central Sierra Trail Map is a must for any hiker, climber and/or backpacker who travels the areas it covers. You won’t be disappointed!

These are amazing maps. Very detailed and easy to read. I like them much better than National Geographic maps which have started using red lines for hiker/horse trails making them very difficult to see. Also, the scale of these are better for me as I want to see a larger area in one map, don’t need overkill detail because I generally am not going cross country, I stick to trails, and I am not wanting to carry numerous maps. I highly recommend these. Shipping was fast. Customer service was what it used to be, personalized and satisfying.
